On this home page, we'll introduce our cause or message. We'll also try to include a quote or two that represent our forum. We hope you'll feel welcome to post a poem that shares your feelings, represents your ideas on writing.
One poem can evoke an immensity of words & thoughts you never imagined. It can also be a multitude of gratifications, lively expressions, and edification of happiness.
However, Poetry is also meant to be somewhat defining. "Writing is a craft, not just a raw talent. Since you have the desire to express your thoughts in words, that already proves you have the talent. Now all you have to do is get better."
Our purpose at UnitedPoets.com is to guide you in your literary journeys. My name is Pamela, aka princess, and I will be your manager, moderator, designer, and confidante! At this point, I have decided to go with one master posting board rather than breaking them into smaller communities. Depending on the growth of the forum, we will decide as a forum whether or not to expand. Critiquing is encouraged in a friendly and helpful manner, of course.
We all have important values and ideas, things we care about and want to share. Sometimes we feel our ideas can even change the world, and we want to let other people know how they can join in and make all our lives better.
This site will present our thoughts and ideas through the world of poetry. As communicating isn't always easy, we'll try to include details and images that convey our message (remember, a well-written poem is a great way to get an idea across to the people who are reading it.) We'll also try to include specific information about our organization and its members, so no one forgets the people behind the poems.
It is not mandatory that you register with our forum, however doing so will make it a lot easier to keep contact with you and update you on changes in the forum. We encourage you to post a link to your website as we would like you to post our website in return. This benefits all involved with more traffic to each site.
