I am the mother of two boys, Joshua Aaron who turns 9 in October, and my baby SethMichael, who turned four in August! I used to lead a very hectic life before the birth of my second son, and it wasn't until 1999 that I realized that I was a poet at heart; always had been, and needed to express and share my poetry with others in order to really be happy in my life.
When I got pregnant, the doctors put me on bedrest when I was only four months along, as I was a high risk. I had weekly ultrasounds but finally on August 30th, my 2nd year anniversary, I delivered a healthy baby boy by emergency c-section.
So on to the story behind the nickname "sleepwalking poet:" two months after the stroke, I start leaving notes for my husband, then they evolve into poems, and over the last two years they have turned out some pretty good ones, (one is a three time winner). I decided to research the net for Poetry Forums where I could post some of these poems and, out of curiosity myself, wait to hear what other poets thought of them. It was a great start to advancing my poetry, but soon after I joined, the site closed down. One of the members of that site encouraged me to open up my own website, and they (the handful of people I had been interacting with followed soon after. One of those in particular is Don Holmes; he has been an active member of UnitedPoets for almost two years now! Give him a round of applause:) As my site grew, so did my creative writing and sleepwalking! As a result, I've won awards on two of the poems. One poem has been published three times! All of which is very exciting to me but my proudest achievement is right here, the Poetry Forum. As some of you may have heard in the past, this is my baby, and I love this site to death!

I live in Wisconsin, not by choice, but my husband and kids are here so I guess I have to stay, huh? I am 5' 1 1/2" tall, and now weigh about 86lbs. For Lessandra - I am a Sagitarrius, born November 29, 1970 at 6ish am. My husband is a full time police officer, heading up the Narcotics Squad and obtaining the position of Lead Accident Investagor! He is also a part time corporate pilot, just waiting for the right flying job to come along and we're outta here! And I am currently putting together my book "Poems of a Sleepwalker" but everytime I think I have the right choice of poems, I write another that I think is better! I am a huge fan of Anne Geddes art, if you can't tell from the website (the pictures are her work.),and love almost every type of music EXCEPT for country, which I have been able to stomach a few of the new songs that have been released. I am Richard Matheson's #1 fan :) and would love to someday attend the reunion held in the extreme northern part of Wisconsin where the movie "Somewhere In Time", starring Christopher Reeves was filmed (which is my favorite all time movie and book) Other titles Richard Matheson has written are mostly unfamiliar to you, but one you may recognize is the book "What Dreams May Come", which was turned into a movie starring Robin Williams and Cuba Gooding Jr.
