Hobbies, Interests? |
i play guitar a bunch.. i'm a 'net addict. not much else. i do write poetry and stories and essays when the mood hits me, but it's rarely anything serious, and only when i'm in "artistic mode." |
Work Position |
i'm.. a student? that's about it for the time being, though. |
Favorite Type of Poetry |
the kind that makes me feel. |
Reasons why you joined this forum? |
mainly for the exposure to poetry. i've been a tad turned off by poems for a long time, and only recently have i've grown to enjoy them. i don't want to choke that off with stuffy work by well-to-do authors. i want the real stuff, from real people. ..and plus, i'm selfish and want feedback on my own work. |
What you like to do for fun? |
play guitar.. write.. play games. plot the overthrow of various third-world governments. name it. |
What is your favorite season/holiday? |
my birthday, of course. |
Do you have a webpage? |
more or less. i helped on a LA-based band's website (www.auryn.com)if you're interested).. and i have a page with pictures. but that's it. nothing fancy-shmancy. |
Do you have public email? |
who doesn't? ..spam me all you want. i can take it. |
Favorite Poet |
anyone who can make me feel something with their writing. ..no particulars, though i do tend to enjoy Yeats sometimes. |
Why? |
because.. he's good? i don't know.. i just like him. that's what matters, yes? |
Favorite Quote/Saying |
"we live our lives, do whatever we do, and then we sleep -- it's as simple and ordinary as that. there's just this for consolation: an hour here or there when our lives seem, against all odds and expectations, to burst open and give us everyting we've ever imagined, though everyone but children [and perhaps even they] knows these hours will inevitably be followed by others, far darker and more difficult. still, we cherish the city, the morning; we hope, more than anything, for more." -- Michael Cunningham, The Hours |
Why? |
because everyone needs a reason to keep going. |
